The route follows the A1 Westautobahn and crosses the Wienerwald on the way. How long the drive takes depends mainly on rush-hour traffic at the Vienna city boundary, so we schedule pickup and delivery outside peak times where we can. At the Vienna end the questions are whether a parking spot in front of the house is free and how many floors have no lift; on the St. Pölten side it is more often detached or terraced houses, where the entrance, garden path and door widths decide. On price: the van starts in Vienna, St. Pölten is about 66 kilometres from Vienna, and we count roughly 68 kilometres for the drive with the instrument — depending on the Vienna district, the exact distance differs slightly.
