The route runs from the Pinka valley over the expressways towards the Vienna basin and then north to the Danube at Tulln. On this connection the two Vienna approach legs dominate the price — Pinkafeld is about 111 kilometres and Tulln about 63 kilometres from Vienna — which is why the transport can often be planned as a combined Vienna tour passing the capital. That makes the distance surcharge on a long route considerably more economical than a pure point-to-point trip would allow.
