Piano transport between Frauenkirchen and Rust links two of the best-known towns around Lake Neusiedl. Frauenkirchen, with its Baroque pilgrimage basilica, sits in the Seewinkel to the north-east; Rust, Austria's smallest free city with its rooftop stork nests, lies on the western shore. Piano Shift moves upright pianos, baby grands and concert grands across this roughly 56-kilometre route through the UNESCO World Heritage Fertő–Neusiedler See landscape — single-storey winemakers' courtyards as well as homes in the historic village centres.

The route runs either south around the lake via Eisenstadt or across the causeway near Mörbisch — both matter for planning, because the narrow lanes of Rust's old town and the low gateways of the winemakers' houses call for particular care. As both towns sit about 67 kilometres from Vienna, we like to combine such Burgenland jobs with a Vienna tour, which noticeably lowers the distance surcharge on the out-of-town leg. In summer we coordinate moves between the lakeside villages around events such as the Mörbisch lake festival, so that approach and delivery do not fall in peak times.

Piano transport (upright piano) over the roughly 56-kilometre route between Frauenkirchen and Rust starts at about € 364 incl. 20% VAT. The exact price depends on the instrument, floor, elevator and preferred date — the price overview on this page and our cost calculator show the details.
Both are possible. Depending on the date, weather and any closures around the lake, we drive south via Eisenstadt or across the causeway near Mörbisch. For bulky grand pianos we choose the route with better access and parking at the pickup and destination addresses.
